Hospital for Advanced Medicine & Surgery (HAMS) in Dhumbarahi has officially announced the commencement of air ambulance services, on Monday.
The Hospital had acquired the permission successfully from Aerodrome Safety Department under Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), after Air Dynasty helicopter conducted a successful test flight on a newly constructed rooftop helipad, the hospital said in a statement.
At present there are three hospitals with rooftop helipads with a facilities to provide helicopter emergency services. Some more hospitals are in the pipeline ready to provide such medical emergency services. Grande International Hospital, Mediciti Hospital and Vayodya Hospital have the Roof top Helipad already.
