Nepal Government : prohibited Single Engine Airplane to carry passengers and no further permission granted to buy Single Engine Airplane.
Ministry of Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation, Nepal has officially declared Single Engine airplane not to carry passengers but only cargos. However, even carrying cargos, the Government has put the single engine bearing airlines a term and condition as after the details inspection carried by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal in every month; the flying permit shall be issued.
As according to the details inspection and the logbook records, the flying permission releases to the single engine airplane, the Government said.
On addition, Tourism Minister Ananda Prasad Pokhrel said ” the existed airlines bearing single engine airplane are only permitted to carry cargos and no further permission will be authorized to buy single engine airplane.”
The recent crash of Air Kasthamandap 9N-AJB on 26 Feb 2016 in Chilkhaya of Kalikot is the main reason for banning single engine airplane in Nepal’s sky. Until the date there are 5 single engine airplane flying in Nepal’s sky.
