Nepal army participated in 16th IMHC
Nepal Army informed the world about its air service capability in International Military Helicopter Conference (IMHC) conducted in London.
IQPC a London-based defense-related organization had conducted three daylong conference from 31 January. Nepali army described disaster rescue air planning operations, future planning of air capability, the role of military air during the April 2015 earthquake rescue operation in the conference.
General of Nepal Army Baldev Raj Mahat, Deputy General Dhanendra Bahadur Shah also pilot of Nepal Army and Colonel Sanjiv Ghimire had presented their presentation on Nepal Military’s air service capability on 1 February in London.
The army participants reported that Paul Edward President at the air conference had allocated ten minute extra to Nepali team in comparison to others. It was reported that Paul and his team were eager and excited to know about Nepal Army’s capability.
After listening and watching Nepal Army’s presentation on post-earthquake rescue and reconstruction activity the participants of other nation were more curious to know about Gorkhali’s operation and had requested the organizers to allocate Nepali delegates with additional ten minutes of time.
Here delegates from New Zealand, Pakistan and Canada had stated that their countries army would like to learn about earthquake and disaster related training with Nepal army.
A British colonel and high commission of New Zealand had praised Nepali army effort for earthquake rescue and reconstruction works. One hundred sixty delegates from twenty-six nations had participated in sixteenth London International Military Helicopter Conference.
