Nepal Airlines Y-12E aircraft meets an Incident at Nepalgunj

A National Flag Carrier Y12-E aircraft that was landing at Nepalgunj Airport departed from Kathmandu has in occurred a runway excursion incident today’s morning. The flight was conducted as a special flight to collect the samples from Corona suspected patients at Nepalgunj. The flight took off from Kathmandu at 10 AM today with medical supplies and a medical doctor on board for Nepalgunj.
The flight with registration’9N-AKU’ during landing at Nepalgunj airport however undershoot the runway and touched down before the threshold of the runway. Thus resulted the aircraft to get beside of the runway uncontrollably. Fortunately all the crew and occupants of the aircraft are safe. The flight was occupied by co-pilot Mahesh Raj Pandey in the command of Capt. Kul B. Limbu, Air Hostess Kiran Acharya including a doctor on board Dr. Sandesh Devkota. All of them are safe and have only sustained minimal injuries.
