Nepal Airlines seeks proposals from hotels for crew layover at Pokhara

The Stated-owned flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) Operation Department has called for sealed Request for Proposals (RFPs) from all interested reputed hotels for flight crew layover services in Pokhara.

NAC who has published the notice on March 9 requires the proposal to be submitted no later than 14:00 hrs Local Time March 23, 2018.

Notice mentioned that the corporation has requisite for three Single Rooms Daily until the End of May 2018 following the three Single rooms thereafter twice in a week.

The agreements between the two counterparties; NAC and Hotel will be valid for two years from the date of signing and the contract period could also be extended for a further period of one year on the same rates, terms and conditions if mutually agreed.
The interested hotels must be able to feature required Complimentary Services in Room Rent. As per NAC, the features includes One Buffet Meal per person per night, Internet/Wi-Fi facility in room, Crew Transportation from Hotel-Airport-Hotel and other preferred facilities.

Nepal Airlines has also mentioned Force Majeure Circumstances as will be exempt from obligations if prompt notification is given in the event of suspension of flights/operations to the station, change in Crew layover pattern, circumstances or causes beyond control of Nepal Airlines. The corporation operates three regular flights ‘RA167/68’ per week to Pokhara Airport from its base at Kathmandu with its DHC-6 series aircraft. Likewise, it also operates two flight ‘RA555/56’ to Jomsom Airport from Pokhara Airport. Besides, NAC is also conducting daily flights to Pokhara with its Harbin Y-12e aircraft as per the revised schedule that is valid till 31st of March, 2018.
