Nepal Airlines plans to add new wide body planes
Nepal Airlines are frequently troubled by technical issues and maintenance charge due to its recently bought narrow body Chinese aircrafts. But, Nepal Airlines are changing their strategy and summing up their resources and started acquiring new resources to expand their current territory by adding new wide body planes. Kripasur Sherpa, the minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation stressed on the topic and supported NAC’s new decision to buy new wide body aircraft to expand its services to new heights.
Nepal Airlines are also limited by the lack of skilled pilots to conduct its international flights. According to Sugat Ratna Kansakar, managing director of NAC, the airlines has implemented new strategic plan which is aimed to add two wide body planes and properly train its workforce.
“The recently bought planes are only good to conduct domestic flights but to reach international destination and recover tourism sector after such devastating earthquake, NAC now needs these wide body aircraft”, according to the Chairman of NAC Board Shiva Sharan Neupane.
