NAC’s Harbin Y-12e back to operation after a minor incident at Bhairahawa

The Harbin Y-12e aircraft belonging to Nepal Airlines Corporation that met a tyre burst incident today at Gautam Buddha Airport has now come into normal flight operation. The aircraft took off to Kathmandu after the repair of the faulty tyre.

The technical team from Nepal Airlines reached the airport and successfully repaired the damaged tyre of Harbin Y-12e with registration ‘9N-AKS’.

The aircraft with registration ‘9N-AKS’ skidded one meter from the runway as its left tyre smashed. Both the pilots on board were reported safe. As per the airport officials, the aircraft escaped a huge accident.

The flight operation at the airport was disrupted for some moment due to the incident occurred at the active runway.
