NAC’s Grounded Y-12e and MA-60 To Fly From 1st of August
KATHMANDU, 20 JULY 2016
After being grounded for longtime, Finally Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is all set to resume its flight service in domestic sector via its two Chinese aircraft Y12e and MA-60 from Aug 1, 2016.
Harbin Y-12e (9N-AKS) had been grounded from past ten months whereas MA-60 (9N-AKQ) from about 38 days. Fortunately, these two aircraft have been repaired and are ready to get back into Nepalese sky. NAC has scheduled to conduct 21/21 flights in every week by its MA-60 and Y-12e. It has been stated that Y-12e will serve Pokhara, Simara and Bhairahawa whereas MA-60 will serve Nepalgunj, Dhangadi and Bhadrapur.
As reported, MA-60 will conduct daily Biratnagar flight at 7:30 am whereas additional flight to Biratnagar on Sun, Tue, Wed and friday at 2:20 pm. Similarly, on Sun, Tue, Wed and Fri, it will also conduct Dhangadi flight at 10:20 am and on Mon, Thu, Sat, it will conduct Kathmandu-Nepalgunj flight at 1PM and Kathmandu-Bhadrapur flight at 10:20 am.
Y-12e has been set to conduct daily flight to Pokhara, Simara and Bhairahawa at 7am, 8:30 am and 10 am respectively. Finally, NAC has prepared its own instuctor pilot for Y-12e.
