As per the information, the duration of agreement will be two years from the date of signing of the contract which could be extended for a further period of a year if mutually agreed.
Requirements of pilots for NAC:
NAC requires each Quotation/Proposal to be submitted in a sealed envelope and should be labeled “Service for Pilot Recruitment”. The national flag carrier is in shortage of sufficient pilots to operate its existing aircraft and upcoming aircraft. It has not been able to fly brand new Chinese-made planes due to lack of qualified pilots since they arrived in February.
The Carrier had planned to bring Chinese pilot to operate Harbin Y-12e aircraft due to lack of pilot in Nepal but the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) quashed the Chinese Pilots. NAC was seeking for Sri Lankan Pilots at the last moment to fly Harbin Y12E however, the attempt for hiring the Sri Lankan pilots has also come at end in disappointment for the carrier.
Two wide-body Airbus A330 will be received soon so, NAC must prepare well for the efficient crew management. The corporation is also recommended to add six more Twin Otter aircraft and approval for procuring two new Airbus A320neo aircraft is already done. NAC is planning aggressively to increase fleet and service so, it has now sought for the pilot recruiting companies for supply of required pilots for various aircraft types.
