Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAM) Department at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal has invited an EOI (Expression of Interest) from all interested reputed MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul services) for Repair/Overhaul/Refurbishment Service of RR Trent 772B Engines fitted in Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft.
The state owned flag carrier of Nation, NAC issued a notice on 20th March 2018 intending to enlist the Engine Maintenance Repair/Overhaul Service Provider (MRO) for complete repair/overhaul/refurbishment of RR Trent 772B engines/modules in near future.
Issued Notice state that the prospective MROs must have EASA part 145 or FAA Approved Repair Station certificate and respective country’s Civil Aviation Authority approved part145 or Repair Station certificates with the scope of approval and appropriate rating for complete repair/overhaul/refurbishment of RR Trent 772B engines/modules.
The interested MRO also need to acquire CAAN (Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal) approval or validation certificate. If the MRO does not have the CAAN approval or validation certificate; the respective company can also participate perhaps they should provide commitment for NAC in writing form to obtain the CAAN approval/validation certificate if awarded for the repair/overhaul/refurbishment of RR Trent 772B engines/modules. All the approval certificates of must possess validity.
The complete EOI Envelop with necessary documentation must be submitted to the Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAM) Department of NAC at Tribhuvan International Airport within 21 Days from the date of Published (March 20, 2018). The details about the publication can be fetched from the official website of NAC. EOI sent through electronic means of communication fax, email (Email: ed@nac.com.np, engplanning@nac.com.np, engdept@nac.com.np) etc. within the stipulated date will also be accepted. NAC acknowledged that the enlisted MROs will be invited to participate in the sealed quotation/tender bid for NAC’s RR Trent 772B engines in near future.
The new wide-body aircraft Airbus A330 has been scheduled for arriving in Nepal between Baisakh and Ashar, 2075 Nepali Date.
Currently, the corporation is operating international flights to 7 destinations with three narrow body aircraft; 2 A320-200 and one Boeing 757. The flag carrier is preparing to operate long haul flights to Osaka, Seoul and Riyadh with the arrival of two A330s.
