NAC prepares to hire 16 foreign pilots instructors

Nepal Airlines corporation, national flag carrier is planning to appoint 16 foreign pilots instructors for its 2 narrow body and 2 wide body aircraft.

Choosing foreigner over capable Nepali pilots, NAC has to face a lot of financial expenses monthly.

The corporation is preparing to hire 2 Type Rated Examiner and 3 Type Rating Instructor for A320-200. TRE can also conduct test after training whereas TRI will only be able to give training.

The national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has reduced flight frequency to Dubai from Kathmandu. NAC is making the decision as the runway renovation of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) is going to begin from 1st April. Additionally, the Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport (DXB) will also undergo renovation works.

The corporation will be reducing its flight frequency starting from 1st April till 30th June. Now the airlines will be conducting 3 weekly flights to DXB instead of daily flights.

NAC currently operates international flights with two Airbus A320s and two Airbus A330s. The corporation has already retired its only left vintage Boeing 757. Boeing 757 ‘9N-ACB’ Gandaki, after 31 years of service was retired around last week by the airline so as to focus the airline only in Airbus fleet. The airline is expected to go in tender process to sell the aircraft.

The carrier’s international network includes routes from Kathmandu to Doha (Qatar), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Hong Kong, Bangkok (Thailand) and Dubai as well to Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai (India).
