Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) commences its schedule flights to Salle Airport, Musikot, Rukum for four days a week starting from Monday. Previously, NAC used to conduct 2 flights a week from Kathmandu-Rukum-Nepalgunj on Sunday and Nepalgunj-Rukum-Kathmandu on Monday.
According to Mr Ramesh Sharma, Station In-charge of Rukum-Salle Department, two days is added to the flight schedule including routes from Kathmandu-Salle-Nepalgunj on Wednesday and Nepalgunj-Rukum-Kathmandu on Thursday. The flights were increased on the passenger’s demand, he added.

Now the flights from Kathmandu to Rukum will be conducted on every Sunday and Wednesday whereas flights from Rukum to Kathmandu will happen on Monday and Thursday. Likewise, NAC will conduct Rukum-Nepalgunj flights on Sunday and Wednesday and Nepalgunj-Rukum flights on Monday and Thursday.
The increased amount of flights to Rukum will enhance service for the locals and also ease tourist aiming to visit Mt. Sisne, Dhaulagiri Himalaya, Dhorpatan valley and Shyarpu tal.
Rukum Salle Airport is situated at Khalanga Municipality of Rukum District, Province No. 5 which is air-linked with Nepalgunj and Kathmandu.
