Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) in collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is conducting a week-long Nepal Sales Mission to Colombo, Sri Lanka and Bangalore, India from December 14 to 21.
Tourism entrepreneurs from Nepal will participate in the mission as a day-long B2B session in both the destinations. This is a tourism promotional event as India and Sri Lanka are the tourist generating market for Nepal so, the event is expected to encourage visitors from these nations.
Sri Lankan tourist’s motive is to visit the birthplace of Buddha – Lumbini for which they have been starting Buddhist pilgrimage from India. So, this program will help in encouraging such tourists to start the pilgrimage from Nepal. Moreover, the participation of tour operators and tourism service providers will also promote Nepal’s other tourism attractions among Sri Lankan tour operators.
Having a direct flight to Bangalore, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is expected to increase tourist inflow from Bangalore which will help to promote Nepal’s tourism attraction among local tour operators via participating delegates.
This mission is set to promote Nepal as a country with religious, historical and natural attractions among Sri Lankan and Indian tourists.
