NAC aiming to support teaching methodology donates its scrap aircraft components to IOE

The national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has aided Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk Campus with their scrap aircraft components. The Aerospace faculty at IOE Pulchowk, under the Department of Mechanical Engineering, will use the aircraft scrap components received from NAC to establish laboratory facilities.

Nepal Airlines dispatched moreover 2000 aircraft scrap components to IOE, Pulchowk Campus which includes spoilers, cylinder, heat exchangers, flaps and soon.” We are also looking to contribute more other aircraft scrap components to IOE within near future to support the students to learn practically, reported officials from the flag carrier.

The official handover ceremony was conducted on 18 September at the province of Pulchowk Engineering Campus with a small program.

IOE expressed their warm gratitude to NAC technical departments who helped the much-needed components to support the teaching procedure. The engineering students from the campus are also delighted with the donation received.

According to the IOE, the received volume of aircraft components will be equipped at the laboratories that will contribute to the courses of Avionics, Airframe, and Gas turbine Engines.

NAC’s technical department reported AviationNepal that it was motivating effort from national flag carrier especially for the support of IOE Aerospace faculty and wished for the success of Aerospace department of IOE, Pulchowk Campus.

NAC has its maintenance hangar at Tribhuvan International Airport (country’s sole international airport) and had dispatched the scrap components to the campus faculty from their hanger.
