NAC: Acceleration Of Internal Homework For The Addition Of Two Wide Body Aircraft
With the inclusion of provision of financial help for buying two wide bodies A330-200 aircraft for Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) in the recently announced 2073/2074 budget of Nepal Government, NAC has accelerated all the internal preparations that are needed before the addition of wide bodies aircraft.
As asserted by NAC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Sugat Ratna Kansakar, the corporation has boosted the document preparation for global tendor of the wide bodies aircraft. About Nrs. 2500 crore is essential for the addition of two A330-200’s under NAC fleets.
According to CEO Kansakar, Employee Providient Fund and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) are showing great eagarness for the provision of loan to the corporation. Till now, NAC has been clearing the debt of Nrs. 1000 crore of its current two A320’s.
The corporation has aimed to extend its international market coverage to 17% from its current 5% after the addition of wide bodies aircraft. In near future, NAC would reach to Austrailia, Japan and USA with its wide body fleet.
Currently, Two B757’s, Two DHC-6 Twinotter’s, Two A320’s and 0ne-One MA60 & Y12e are in NAC fleet.
