CAAN has authorized the Mountain Helicopters to start rescue services for COVID-19 Patients.
According to Mountain Helicopters, the services started on Friday; the helicopter has a medical team including doctors and nurses and essential medical equipment.
“Preparations have been delayed for some time, but we are still in the middle of the second wave, so we have started the rescue flight to provide more services to the patients,” Dil Bahadur Oli, general manager of Mountain Helicopters, told AviationNepal.
Mountain also said a dedicated team and helicopters would be on standby in a day for the rescue operation.
Government has authorized Simrik Air, Manang Air, Altitute Air and Kailash Helicopter to carry Covid patients.
