Minister announces plans on minimizing air traffic congestion at TIA

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) Mr. Rabindra Adhikari has informed to prohibit the approval for new airlines company at the present moment. Also the minister has directed respective authorities to restrict the existing airline companies to conduct flight from TIA with their additional aircraft.

Minister Adhikari with his new 100 days strategic plan has come up with the decision to address the increasing air traffic and congestion at the only one international of the country.

Government has also planned to reduce some domestic flights and deduce the holding time for the international flight operation.

Likewise, the newly appointed minister has also directed respective officials to search the area that will be feasible for the construction of new domestic airport. He has informed the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to come up with the conclusion of the place within 14 days.

The aviation regulator of the country has informed of their plane to construct airport in Kavre. Similarly, there is feasibility study for the construction of airport is going on at Nagidanda after the locals had interfered in the proposed land at Thulichour.

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has been instructed by Minister Adhikari to produce maximum revenue with the smooth operation of their Chinese aircraft. The Minister has expected to complete at least 90 percent of his 100 days strategic working plan.
