Mr. Rabindra Adhikari, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) has warned to take action against the various project authorities if they fail to complete the project till the end of the current fiscal year.
In an annual review program in the Ministry on Sunday, Minister Adhikari has claimed not to let off anyone coming to the ministry by taking a file giving numerous excuses at the end and fall short to carry out the project within the time frame.
He claimed that construction of Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) will be completed within one year and come into operation whereas instructed respective authorities to accomplish the runway rehabilitation project of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
He has also emphasized the employee of the tourism department to speed up in the work of the national pride project and to solve problem including land acquisition and compensation procedures.
Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has already finalized the budget for the fiscal year 2075/76 which stands Rs45.17 billion. The amount is expected to expedite the GBIA, Pokhara Regional International Airport, and Second International Airport (SIA) which are categorized as the national pride project.
