Korean Air Jet Engine Catches Fire at Haneda Forcing Evacuation

The subject plane was taxiing for take-off when flame was detected from engine No.1. The take-off was immediately canceled.
Immediately after the cancelation of take-off all passengers were evacuated using slides.
To minimize the passengers’ inconvenience, all passengers will be scheduled to be on board on alternate flight (Alternative flight B747-400, departing from Gimpo Airport at 16:00 and arriving at Haneda Airport at 18:05)
The root cause for the flame will be analyzed as promptly as possible.
