Kailash Helicopter Services (KHS) Pvt. Ltd. is planning to add more choppers by investing NRs 24 crore.
Kailash Helicopter’s AS350 B2 with registration ‘9N-AJJ’ started its commercial operation from April 11, 2018.
Shree Hari Kuikal, chief of operation stated that the company is planning to buy used helicopters. “The helicopter will touch down Nepal within 25 days,” he said. The company will operate the operation with it’s bought helicopter from March, 2019.
According to him, a team of the company has departed to Spain to complete the purchase process of Airbus.
Airbus H125 has spacious and comfortable cabin accommodating one pilot plus up to 5 passengers.
The chopper, which is known for its capacity to fly at an altitude of about 23,000 feet, will be used in different services such as medical evacuation, corporate flights, human/cargo sling operations, high altitude operations, aerial survey, sightseeing, mountain flights and other special adventure missions.
The helicopter company will be operating from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) as it has been operating from Kathmandu.
KHS has planned to operate charter flights to Himalayan region and most part of the country.
Now the company operates two helicopters AS350 B3e (9N-AML) & AS350 B2 (9N-AJJ) and aims to contribute to the tourism industry and to provide air services in rural areas. The main motive of the company is serving for immediate treatment of the patient, corporate flights, human-cargo sliding operations, high-altitude operations, mountain flights, special adventure mission, filming, ski diving and many more.
