Jet Airways’ pilots grounded after mid-air brawl

Jet airways grounded its two pilots after they fought inside the cockpit. The pilots of flight from London to Mumbai on New Year’s Day carrying 324 guests including 2 infant had misunderstanding resulting them to be taken off their flight duties.

The flight, which was carrying 324 passengers, landed safely in Mumbai.

A spokesperson for Jet Airways said that an incident had occurred, but did not provide the exact events. Some witnesses told that the incident occurred after one male pilot allegedly slapped a female pilot. The woman left the cockpit and only returned later.

The airline said that incident has been reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) as they have zero tolerance for any action of its employees that compromises safety. They also stated that guests, crew and assets safety is their main importance. Pilots grounded after dispute.
