Investigation Committee Set Up: Fishtail Air 9N-AKA
Kathmandu – 10 August 2016
According to the press release of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation published on 9th August, 2016 in regard of crash of Fishtail Air AS350 B2 Helicopter with registration 9N-AKA, enroute from Gorkha to Kathmandu that crashed in Madhanpur-9 of Nuwakot district killing all 7 passengers onboard, the investigation committee comprising of four members has been setup for the probe of crash.
The investigation committee is led by former Director General of Flight Department Mr. Hari Bhakta Shrestha along with Capt. Subash Thapa, Er. Bishnu Basnet of Simrik Air and Joint Secretary at Civil Aviation Ministry Mr. Suresh Acharya.
A crash may prevent several other future crashes if a proper cause is identified. Therefore, in order to probe the exact cause of crash and for the formation of effective safety flight rules & regulations so that such aircrashes could be avoided in future, Investigation committee has been formed
