International Finance Corporation is here to study Nijgadh International Airport
International Finance Corporation has been operational in Nepal’s private sector through investments and advisory services. IFC’s been assisting our government to properly conduct business activities, helping in catalyzing investment, improving business environment, by making financing available to run firms like Agribusiness, etc.
IFC team has been given access to analyze long debated design and construction details of Nijgadh International Airport. The financial management of the project and detail study will be conducted by IFC.
The expansion and upgrade plan of Tribhuvan International Airport also will be handled by IFC. The plan was commissioned under the jurisdiction of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation board members.
The Board authorities have prepared a draft agreement, transferring financial study to IFC. The IFC studies the plans and models, and determines the project is as accordance to PPC (public-private partnership) model or not.
IFC workers estimated their work will be finished in 2 months but according the Ministry official’s evaluation, the work may take up to 6 months.
