A brand new ATR-72 is on its way to join Indigo’s fleet. MSN 1573 ATR72 F-WKVF delivered to Indigo as EVX72VF will be registered as VT-IXW later. Flight EVX72VF left Toulouse today and has arrived in Heraklion. It is scheduled to arrive in New Delhi, India, on July 02, after traveling across Europe and Africa. The aircraft will make two more stops in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. VT-IXW will be IndiGo’s 28th ATR, establishing the airline among the most prominent turboprop aircraft operators in the southeast region.

Three Brand New ATR 72-600 in June
On June 23rd and 25th, IndiGo welcomed two ATR 72-600s designated VT-IXS and VT-IXV.
IndiGo is presently in the middle of securing an order for 50 ATR 72 aircraft. The carrier has already received 27 aircraft (One is on the way), with many more on order in Toulouse.

IndiGo, India’s largest budget airline, has placed a preliminary order for 50 turboprop aircraft valued at $1.3 billion at pricing as it extends into regional routes linking smaller urban cities.
IndiGo has signed a letter of intent to purchase ATR 72-600 aircraft, with the first ATR-72 scheduled to begin service in late 2017.
