Himalaya Initiating Social Responsibilities

Himalaya Airlines has conducted a donation program to support the children in Prayas Nepal. The airlines has conducted the donation program as a part of its social responsibility to support the community.
Himalaya Airlines had recently made a valuable donation of five hundred and ten kilograms of rice along with stationery sets and chocolates to the enthusiastic and charming children of Prayas Nepal, situated in Baluawatar.
The officials of Himalaya Airlines visited Prayas Nepal on February 18, 2017, and also had a lively interaction with the children and authority persons of the organization. The children welcomed the H9officials’team with their heartwarming smiles along with traditional Tika and Khada. The overwhelming excitement of the children was seen through their dance and songs during the visit.
With only two years of establishment, Himalaya Airlines is committed to supporting the community through CSR (corporate social responsibility) activities. The airline authority believes that sustainability and responsibility are crucial in ensuring environmental, social and economic prosperity in their service area. This is the first initiative of Himalaya Airlines to conduct the social activity and is also encouraged to repeatedly conduct activities this in the coming future too.
While interacting with Ms. Mani Joshi, President and Children of Prayas Nepal during the donation program, Ms. Ujjwala Dali, Head of Department- Brand and Service Improvement remarked, “We are very pleased with the efforts of Prayas Nepal for their passionate attempt to improve the lives of underprivileged children. We feel honored that with our small initiative we are able to touch the lives of these special children and we pledge to continue our contributory association with Prayas Nepal over the years.”
Prayas Nepal is a non-profit social organization established in 2003 with forethought to empower underprivileged children through education, awareness and skillful training. This organization is running a children’s home for the orphan, abandoned, abused and physically challenged children from different parts of Nepal since its establishment.
Himalaya is the only airlines apart from the national flag carrier to operate the international flight for Nepal.
The airlines first operated its flight from TIA on May 31- 2016, to Doha and now flies to three international destinations.
Currently, Himalaya conducts international flights to Doha, Colombo & Kula Lumpur with two narrow body Airbus A320 aircraft and are starting their flight to Yangon from 24 February.
