Himalaya Airlines, Nepal-China Joint Venture Airline, welcomed its second new Airbus 320-214 at grand ceremony at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal today at 11:04 NST. The new aircraft of Himalaya Airlines has arrived in Nepal and just landed on Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu, today. The aircraft is an Airbus A320-214 with a registration number of “9N-ALV” and is a short-to-medium range airplane with Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW) of 68,000 to 77,000 kilograms.
An Airbus 320-214 series aircraft will fly this international route. The aircraft has seat configuration comprising of 8 Business and 150 Economy class. The Airbus 320-214 will be power-driven by two CFMI CFM56-5B4/3 Jet engines and will have Sharklets on its wing. It was bestowed with a test registration D-AVVU for its test flight in Hamburg, Germany (XFW) and completed its first test flight on Jan 06 fruitfully.The factory made Airbus 320 aircraft will be the second aircraft of the preceding type in its fleet.
