Himalaya Airlines to fly Yangon
February 22, 2017- Kathmandu
Himalaya airlines is adding its fleet to Yangon capital of Burma from 24 February Friday.
The airlines will be operating its first flight to Mingaladon International Airport Yangon from Tribhuwan International Airport Kathmandu at 10:55 am on 24 February.
According to our source, the airlines had decided to add its fleet to Yangon earlier this month after the arrival of its additional narrow-body Airbus 320 jet on 31 January.
Currently, none of the airlines conducts direct flight from Nepal to Burma. The fleet has also been expected to be the bridge for Nepal to build up good ties with Burma helping the country to extend its tourism market.
Nepal and Burma both are recommended as a must visit destination globally. So, Himalaya has also accepted to increase the flow of tourist to both the tourism nations.
The airlines will only be charging Nrs.35000/-*(inclusive of taxes) for the round trip to Yangon from Kathmandu.
Presently Himalaya connects Kathmandu with Doha, Colombo and Kula Lumpur with two Airbus A-320 narrow body aircraft.
