Himalaya Airlines celebrating 1st year of its commercial flight operation today

Himalaya Airlines, a Nepal-China joint venture, completed its first year of commercial operation with huge success today. Established in August 2014, Himalaya initiated its first ever scheduled flight to Doha, Qatar on May 31, 2016. The airlines on the social site posted, “Today we completed our first year of Commercial Operations! Three Aircraft and four destinations within a year.”
Currently, Himalaya Airlines is the proud owner of three Airbus A320s. The first and new Airbus arrived on March 9, 2016, second on January 31, 2017 and third new Airbus on March 31, 2017. The airline has a huge target of acquiring 15 aircraft within coming five years and connecting various new destinations around the world. In addition, the airline is also planning to add long-haul wide-body Airbus A330 to operate direct flights to Japan, Korea, Australia, and America.
Himalaya Airlines is currently conducting scheduled flights to four destinations namely Dubai, Doha, Kuala Lumpur and Yangon.
Owning three Airbus within the first year of commercial flight operation is a remarkable milestone for a private airline company and also the source of inspiration and competency for Nepali Aviation industry.
