Himalaya Airlines; adding new route and new aircraft soon

Himalaya Airlines, a private airliner of Nepal flying International routes, established with joint venture of Nepal and Tibetan investment is adding its flight route to Colombo direct starting from Aswin 15 (October 1).
The information was revealed in a press meet conducted by the airline today.
An Airbus 320-214 series aircraft will fly this international route. The aircraft has seat configuration comprising of 8 Business and 150 Economy class. There will be 3 flights in a week for this route, according to the airline. The aircraft will be scheduled Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for Colombo, Sri Lanka. The flight will take off from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu at 11:30 AM and land in Colombo at 3:15 PM. Similarly, the flight is scheduled to take off from Colombo at 4:15 PM the same day and will arrive TIA at 8:15 PM local times.
The fare also has been declared for the flight. The one way trip will cost 29 Thousand 1 Hundred and 91 Rupees and the two way trip will cost 50 Thousand and 41 Rupees according to the company.
Vice president of Himalaya Airlines, Mr. Vijay Shrestha told that they got exciting results of occupancy in the two informal flights to Colombo conducted recently. They have selected the destination Colombo after a thorough research and study of the traveller detail, in this route, he added. He also believes that the direct flight will promote the tourism and business between two countries and will assist the tourists willing to visit Nepal as a county where Lord Buddha was born providing a direct flight. The number of tourists from Nepal travelling to Sri Lanka has also increased recently.
Himalaya Airlines also informed that Classic Travels has been appointed its General Sales Agent (GSA) for the Colombo flight that will assist in reservations, bookings of tickets and route promotion in Sri Lanka.
New Aircraft and New Delhi route to initiate soon.
The Vice President of Himalaya Airlines also reveled in today’s press meet that the third destination of the airline will be New Delhi and most probably will start from the end of October. The approval for the route is in the final stage, he informed.
Similarly, the airline is preparing to welcome a new Airbus aircraft of same series within October. The new aircraft will then conduct flights to different destinations of China i.e. Beijing, Lhasa, Chengdu.
Himalaya Airlines has been conducting daily direct flight to Doha presently with its one Airbus Aircraft. It has a vision of adding altogether of 15 fleets in coming 5 years and conduct flights to various destinations of Asia.
