Power Line Inspection: Helicopter Crashed On The Railway Track

17 April 2016 – Yesterday, a helicopter that was carrying out power-line inspection for Baltimore Gas and Electric Company crashed on the train tracks near Washington/Baltimore International Airport.

It has been reported that all three people onboard the helicopter are safe with non-life threatening injuries and were rushed to the hospital after crash.

As soon as the helicopter went down, a brush fire was occurred which had been extinguished on time by firefighters. The helicopter has been completely destroyed but people onboard it are safe.

The crash blocked the railway service between Washington and Baltimore for hours but by mid-afternoon all services were resumed.
Inorder to probe the cause of the crash, a committee of investigation officials has been set up under Federal Transportation Authority.
