Heli-Everest initiates charter flight for pilgrims from Bhadrapur Airport

Heli-Everest, private helicopter charter Company has commenced a pilgrimage flight to Pathivara Mandir in Taplejung from Bhadrapur Airport since yesterday.

Heli-Everest Helicopter after analyzing the rapid flow of pilgrims to the journey at the festive season is conducting the Pathivara flight to support the Hindu pilgrim for the pilgrimage journey at Pathivara Mandir.

According to the information provided by the authorities from Heli-Everest, the company is operating one of its H-125 choppers acquiring registration ‘9N-AKP’ to fly the pilgrim to Pathivara Mandir from Bhadrapur. The company will continuously conduct its charter flight to Pathivara till four days.

The operator on its first day (September 27) had conducted three flights with approximately two hour long helicopter ride from Bhadrapur to Taplejung with one hour ground time.

The company had sent its one of the H-125 chopper under the command of Captain S. Basnet along with one technician and flight Engineer to Bhadrapur on September 26 from its hub Kathmandu.

Pathibhara Devi Mandir is one of the most significant Hindu temples in Nepal, located on the hill of Taplejung. It is also considered one of the holy places for Limbu people. Worshippers from different parts of Nepal and India flock to the temple during special occasions, as it is believed that a pilgrimage to the temple ensures fulfillment of the pilgrims’ desires.The temple is located 19.4 North East from Phungling municipality at an elevation of 3,794 m (12,444.32 ft).
