Hainan Airlines: Four Cabin Crew Members were onslaught by two men when they were denied an upgrade. 

June 19, 2016 – According to the allegation, two passengers’ onslaught four crew members and an air marshal after they were refused an upgrade on Sunday. The anonymous men only had economy tickets but they tried to sit in business class and then denied to move or pay for the upgrade.

The flight was from Taiyuan to Chongqing in China. Due to this physical controversy, the Hainan airlines flight had to return to the gate in Taiyuan instead of taxiing to the runway. The man were spotted by a member of crew and were told to pay for the upgrade .since, there were no card facilities on board which meant they needed to pay by cash or travel in their booked economy seats for the two hours flight from Taiyuan to Chongqing.

A passenger on board flight HU7041 claimed that, they said they didn’t have enough cash on them but they refused to go back to economy class and the men supposedly assaulted airhostess when she asked the men to leave business class. She immediately asked for help from captain and air marshall , who were both attacked by weapons as well. The air marshall is said to have had a nose bleeds as a result of rough disorderly fight.

According to the reporter, the cabin crew members were badly injured and the plane was forced to return to the departure gate. The two men were escorted by local police. After a two hour delay, the flight was able to continue as normal without injured crew members. The two men were blacklisted under china’s law regulating “uncivilized behavior by passengers” which will see the two suspects banned from travel.
