Government Forwards Proposition to Construct New Airports Maintaining International Standards
Construction work of an international standardized airports started picking its momentum after the government bodies initiated new effort to make the country´s air transport sector more trustworthy and efficient.
In a recent economic policy program, President Ram Baran Yadav addressed the issue of our country’s aviation safety standards and expressed the government and aviation communities will work to improve the aviation safety standards and regain public trust.
According to Ratish chandra Lal Suman, the General Manager of CAAN stated the government is aware, about the urgent need to construct the second international airport to promote tourism and upgrade the Tribhuvan international airport.
The construction work of New Airports in remote districts (Kalikot, Khiji Chadeshowri in Okhaldhunga, Sitaleshower in Lamjung, Simichaur in Gulmi, Sukilumba in Ilam and Argha Bhagawati in Arghakhanchi) is also taking pace maintaining international aviation safety standards.
