Flights repatriating Nepalese urged to schedule their arrival before 03:00 PM

Kathmandu

It has been decided that the aircraft repatriating the Nepalese from any country should land at Tribhuvan International Airport by 15:00 Hrs in order to execute the post arrival safety measures for the passengers and airport.

Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Rajan Pokharel, said that the aircraft should arrive in Kathmandu within 3 o’clock as it would be easier to manage for holding center and quarantine.

“Airlines returning to Nepal should land in Kathmandu by 3 pm,” Pokhrel said.
So far, 169 have returned from the United Arab Emirates, 26 from Myanmar and 11 from Australia. CAAN has fixed the schedule as it was difficult to manage the post flight processes of handling the passengers and quarantine facilities were very hard to execute at night.
