4 representatives who have arrived for the 4th BIMSTEC Summit 2018 are leaving Nepal today which will affect the flight operation and road traffic.
Indian PM Narendra Modi, Bangladeshi PM Shekh Hasina, President of Myanmar Win Myint and PM of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha are scheduled to return to their home country after 1 pm today.
The normal operation of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) will disrupt after 1 pm today as Bangladeshi PM will depart at 1 pm, Thai Prime Minister at 4 pm, Myanmar president at 4:30 pm and Indian PM at 6 pm.
VVIPs arrival for the 4th BIMSTEC summit has been affecting the normal operation of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) since Tuesday (August 28).
TIA halted its operation for more than an hour yesterday as the delegates from Thailand, Bangladesh along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Nepal to attend the two-day Summit in Kathmandu on 30-31 August.
Besides, TIA Civil Aviation Office (TIACAO) also regulated some rules and regulations for the security reasons in the airport’s vicinity which permit only passengers and authorized vehicles but not other visitors to enter the TIA from the entrance gate.
