Nepal Airlines Corporation’s office has been locked (Tala Bandhi). Three separate employee associations groups closed the office on Tuesday, claiming NAC board were attempting to convert NAC into a public company.
The workers are protesting after the NAC board of directors recently submitted a management letter and rules to the ministry of culture, tourism, and civil aviation requesting that the corporation be transformed into a public company.
However, General Manager Dim Prasad Poudel has said that they are not attempting to convert NAC to a public company.
