Emergency declared: Malaysia Airlines Aircraft’s Engine caught fire

 Malaysia Airlines flight MH148 carrying 300 passengers on board bound for Kuala Lampur declared an emergency about 3pm. The aircraft’s engine caught fire, the pilot made the distress call and dumped extra fuel for preliminary precaution.

The flight made an emergency landing at Melbourne Airport. The ATC informed the MFB (Metropolitan Fire Brigade) and alerted Paramedics to prepare for an emergency. The airport authorities states – the aircraft is now stable and passengers are evacuated safely. The MFB are still assisting the incident and will report the cause of the incident. The airport is now functioning as normal. The story is till developing.
