Hail storm forced Delta airlines to make an emergency landing

Delta Flight 1889 headed for Salt Lake City made an emergency landing in Denver International Airport after getting caught in a hail storm damaged the aircraft. Images revealed by the news agencies displayed damaged nose sections and windshield.

Robin Jones, a passenger explained the situation and his experience from the flight to the Fox13. He said, “I fly constantly and this flight was the scariest 10 minutes of my life. I thought, ‘OK. Have I told everybody that I love that I love them?’ And as soon as I realized I had done that, I was like, ‘I’m alright. Everything’s going to be OK.’”

“We went around the corner from the window, we could see the shattered windshield,” another passenger named Rob Wessman said. “We could see kind of a hole over the engine where lightning had struck. We could see the nose of the plane was missing. It was really intense.”
