Construction Of New Domestic Airport Near Kathmandu, Nepal .
Inorder to extend passenger and international flights handling capacity of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the new domestic airport will be constructed in Thulichaur of Dhulikhel, Kavre. All the domestic flights that have been carried out from TIA will be shifted to the new airport.
Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has started studying about the construction of new domestic airport in Kavre district. Within coming June 2016 the detail study of airport will be completed and within next 2 years our country will posses new domestic airport. This strategy of Civil Aviation Ministry would strengthen the handling capacity of the country’s sole international airport TIA.
