Chinese Airlines have topped the list for becoming the highest international flight operators in Nepal. At present six airlines from China conducts flight operation to Nepal. Previously, the number of operators was five before Tibet Airlines started the operation to Nepal. Tibet Airlines jointly with Himalaya Airlines of Nepal has started air operation to connect Kathmandu with Chengdu in Tibet. The airlines have started the flight operation to Chengdu with an Airbus A319 aircraft making its route over the Himalayas. Himalaya Airlines is the authorized general service agent of Tibet Airlines in Nepal.
With the commencement of Tibet Airlines operation to Kathmandu a total number six Chinese airlines conduct their regular flight to Nepal which is twice more than the number of Indian Airline operators in Nepal. Currently, three of the Indian airlines only conduct their flights to Kathmandu. Jet Airways, Indigo, and Air India are the three airline operators from India to conduct flight operation to Nepal. Likewise Air China, China Eastern, China Southern, Sichuan, Dragon and Tibet Airlines connects Nepal with China.
Meanwhile, two Bangladeshi Airlines, Biman and United Airlines connect Bangladesh with Nepal. Druk Air and Tashi Air from Bhutan are connecting Kathmandu to the Land of the thunderstorm.Similarly, three airlines from Malaysia, Air Asia, Malaysian Airlines and Malindo fly to Nepal.
Thai Air from Thailand, SILK from Singapore and Korean Air from Korea also connects Kathmandu. Etihad, Air Arabia and Fly Dubai from UAE along with Oman Air and Qatar Airways are connecting the Middle East with the Himalaya nation. Besides Turkish Airlines connects Nepal with Europe and Turkey.
