Central Investigation Bureau to investigate against CAA of Nepal

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) is now under the investigation of Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), Nepal following the leakage of VHF/HF confidential audio conversations of US Bangla Airlines Crash between Cockpit Crew and Air Traffic Controller (ATC) of Tribhuvan International Airport.

Officials’ from the CAAN on Press Release stated that communication between Pilots and ATC of US Bangla Crash was not made public by their duty officers.

On Monday, March 12 US Bangla Airlines flight BS211, a Dash 8 Q400 (S2-AGU), crashed while approaching to land at Kathmandu-Tribhuvan Airport, Nepal at around 2:20 PM NST.

The audio conversation between US Bangla pilot and ATC leaked in the internet moments after the plane crash due to which public have been reacting aggressively towards pilot and ATC communication error.

It is the criminal act of leaking the VHF/HF audio to the public as per the officials from the regulatory body. The CIB will investigate regarding the Leakage of the audio communication and take an action against the officials who were involved on the matter, stated source.
