The Madhyapur Thimi Municipality has sealed the premature building construction of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
An under construction building of CAAN, which was suppose to layout as training academy for Air Traffic Controller (ATC) in Gaththaghar of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-3, got shut down by local municipality accusing that the CAAN had begun their construction without taking prior approval from them.
The CAAN had started the construction of its two-storied training academy building at the estimated cost of Rs 70 million a month ago.
With the sealing, construction of the building has come to a standstill.
On addition, it is apparent that the Department of Aviation has occupied around 400 Ropanis of land owned by local people for the operation of aviation related services.
