Buddha Air Varanasi flights believed to aid the promotion of ‘Visit Nepal 2020’

Buddha Air is continuing its Kathmandu-Varanasi two flights weekly (Monday and Friday) from today as the ATR-42 aircraft carrying 38 passengers is scheduled to reach Varanasi today. Buddha Air organized a press conference to inform about its Kathmandu-Varanasi flight under the presence of Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) Mr. Rabindra Adhikari as chief guest, Airport Chief Raj Kumar Chhetri, TIA officers and media personalities at TIA.

Birendra Bahadur Basnet, Managing Director of Buddha Air said that he is too flying over Varanasi on the flight as there is a welcome programme organized by the Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Aditya Narayan and high committee members.

Managing Director Basnet said that government of Uttar Pradesh has also observed this connecting flight between two holy destinations with high interest. He added the main theme of the Buddha air is to promote Nepalese tourism bringing Indian tourists as much as they can from Varanasi and its nearby regions and offer Nepalese pilgrims various packages to visit the holy sites of India such as Varanasi, Gaya and its nearby holy sites. Moreover we believe this connecting flight between Kathmandu-Varanasi will help it promoting the relationship between Uttar Pradesh and Nepal, said Mr. Basnet.

 

Chief Guest Honorable Minister Rabindra Adhikari applauded the Buddha Air for its initiation and hope it will operate more international flights on near future. He said this step of Buddha Air will play an important role in enhancing the ‘Visit Nepal Year 2020’ entering more tourists inside Nepal. Not only this, he believes that it will help in marking Nepal as a tourism destination. Adding up he said this connecting flight will help in establishing pleasant correlation between two nations.

He affirmed that it’s also the matter of nations’ pride that its airline is flying over foreign country and it’s a great achievement for national development as well. He said it’s a beginning and on the coming days they will be conducting more international flights staring from Nepalgunj-Delhi flight and then slowly from Biratnagar, Janakpur and Dhangadi as well.

Minister Adhikari informed government has planned to conduct international flights to its neighbouring nations from its regional based airports. For which government has started land acquisition to upgrade Biratnagar Airport as well. He further affirmed that other necessary preparations are going on to enhance other airports as well.

Buddha Air has announced an exclusive discounts offers to the holy passengers from Nepal and India traveling to the destination. The airline has operated flight with its complete holy package, including the tourist guides, hotels, transportation and others for the ease of the tourist travelling.

The Airline has pronounced two way air fare rate from Nepal to Varanasi as Nrs 14,000 and classic Kashi Darshan holiday package of worth rupees 24,000.
