Buddha Air to receive its additional ATR 72 ‘9N-AMF’ today

Buddha Air will receive its Additional ATR 72-500 today evening making it 10th in the fleet as the aircraft has already made its way from Rayong, Thailand. According to Officials’ of Buddha Air, the ATR 72 aircraft is expected to touch down at TIA around 06:30 PM local time.

The remarkable add to the number of passengers in domestic air market last year has encouraged Buddha Air to add ATR 72-500 to its fleet.

The aircraft is under the command of Buddha Air Flight Crews. The airline previously on January 9 had dispatcher a group of team including 2 flight crews, 1 operational staff, 2 B1/B2 Licensed Engineer, 1 Quality Assurance Staff, 1 Airworthiness Staff and one official from Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) are in the team for the delivery of an additional ATR-72. The aircraft has also been allocated with Nepalese registration ‘9N-AMF’ to carry its ferry flight.

It would take minimum of 3 months for the 10th ATR 72 to get livery implantation and initiate commercial operation and will be used to enhance its operational capacity and will be operating in currently scheduled places, added Source. The ATR 72-500 possess PW 127 engines with spacious cabin and can board seventy four passengers including two flight crew members. The aircraft has comfortable ergonomic seats and is renowned to be the fuel efficient.

The ATR 72-500 series aircraft is a twin-engine turboprop short-haul regional aircraft manufactured jointly by France-Italy. The aircraft possess PW 127 engines with spacious cabin and can board seventy four passengers including two flight crew members. The aircraft has comfortable ergonomic seats and is renowned to be the fuel efficient.

Buddha Air is one of the successful domestic airlines in Nepal conducting its regular flight with ATR 72-500, ATR 42-320 and Beechcraft 1900 D to Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Bharatpur, Simara, Janakpur, Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Pokhara, Dhangadhi and Tumlingtar.
