Leading private carrier Buddha Air is set to cancel evening flights to Surkhet just within a week after its commencement.
The airline had just commenced evening flight to Surkhet from 16th of June and now the carrier is set to cancel the flight just after 6 days of the flight commencement which is on 21st June.
The airline has stated that the reason to cancel the flight was due to lack of enough passengers on the sector. The airline is only getting 40 passengers in 2 flights thus the airline has announced to cancel the evening flight.
Buddha Air is currently operating morning flight to the airport at 8 AM and return flight at 9:30 AM and evening flight at 4 PM with return flight at 5:30PM. Evening flight will be canceled from Friday onward.
Buddha Air currently owns 12 aircraft that includes 2 Beechcraft B1900D, 3 ATR 42-320 and 7 ATR 72-500 series aircraft.
The airline is providing services to Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Bharatpur, Simara, Janakpur, Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Pokhara, Dhangadi, Birendranagar and Tumlingtar from TIA along with Mountain Flights as well as flights to Indian cities Varanasi and Kolkata. The airline is also set to add flight to new international destination which is to Guwahati from August 3.
The airline has also proposed plan to build hanger at Pokhara Regional International Airport so as to commence international flight from the airport after the airport comes into operation.
Established on 23 April 1996, with a fleet of a Beech-craft 1900D manufactured by Raytheon Aircraft (now Hawker Beech-craft), Buddha Air is the largest domestic airline operator of Nepal.
