Buddha Air starts operation from the base at Biratnagar airport

The leading domestic airline of Nepal, Buddha Air has started its operation from the base at Biratnagar Airport with one ATR 72 aircraft starting from June 01, 2018.

The ATR 72 aircraft makes a night stopover at Biratnagar Airport and conducts an early morning flight to Kathmandu.

The private airline previously announced to conduct early morning flight at 7 am from Biratnagar to Kathmandu and night flight at 6 pm from Kathmandu to Biratnagar.

According to the officials, Buddha air has added night flight to control excessive air traffic congestion at TIA as the airport remain busy operating extreme flights from 10 am to 5 pm. Buddha Air has taken effective step which will avoid air traffic congestion in daytime and the air passengers don’t have to face any problem when the flights get cancelled at day.

TIA Civil Aviation Office tweeted that the Buddha Air started one ATR72 type aircraft’s base at Biratnagar from june 1, 2018 which will help to overcome parking bay congestion at TIA.

Biratnagar airport is equipped with VOR/DME, RNAV-GNSS technology and Runway lights for IFR and night flight operations.
