Buddha air, one of the progressive and leading private Airlines of Nepal on a press release has announced to add another ATR 72-500 to its fleet. The airline has already got necessary permission to add aircraft from Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. The additional ATR 72 will be registered as ‘9N-AMU’. ATR series aircraft have been considered to be very economical due to being environmentally efficient.
According to the press release, after arrival of the additional aircraft, the company will get a comfortable time to conduct regular maintenance of other aircraft and operate flights smoothly.
The upgrading project of Rajbiraj Airport located at state number 2 is almost completed. Buddha Air has requested the concerned body to establish the facility of refueling at the airport. After completing the all the essential preparations, Buddha air will conduct the test flight from the ATR aircraft at the airport.
The company also said that there core aim is to create ample seats to each destination at affordable fares and complete the flights although there will be flight delays, which is the present ground reality, due to over congestion of Tribhuvan International Airport.
With the addition of ‘9N-AMU’, the company will have 11 aircraft among which 6 aircraft are ATR 72-500, 3 ATR 42-300, 2 Beechcraft 1900D. The airline currently conducts scheduled flights to Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Dhangadhi, Janakpur, Nepalgunj, Pokhara, Simara, Tumlingtar, Bhadrapur and Bharatpur. It also operates one-hour-long Mountain sightseeing flights.
