Buddha Air newly bought ATR 72-500 “9N-AMD” to fly passengers from Today

The additional New ATR 72-500 belonging to Buddha Air with a registration of “9N-AMD” which arrived TIA on February, 2017 has commences its commercial operations today.
It was reported that the newly brought ATR 72-500 aircraft successfully completed its flight in Nepalese Sky taking off from Kathmandu en-route to Bhairahawa, Dhangadhi, Biratnagar operated by Capt. Sovan Basnet, Capt. Bhawan Thapa and First Officer Sailaja Munakarmi, Samriddha Adhikari from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. According to a flight plan from Buddha Air, new ATR 72-500 “9N-AMD” has schedule four flight for today. Out of which First flight was conducted to Bhairahawa from Kathmandu with flight number 851 along with 72 passengers on-board at around 8:18 AM, Second flight was conducted to Dhangadhi from Kathmandu with flight number 851 along with 70 passengers on-board at around 12:16 PM, Third flight was conducted to Biratnagar from Kathmandu with flight number 707 along with 72 passengers on-board at around 4:00 PM and Last flight is schedule to Biratnagar from Kathmandu with flight number 711 along with 72 passengers on-board at around 6:00 PM, today.
The ATR 72-500 series aircraft is a twin-engine turboprop short-haul regional aircraft manufactured jointly by France-Italy. The aircraft possess PW 127 engines with spacious cabin and can board seventy four passengers including two flight crew members. The aircraft has comfortable ergonomic seats and is renowned to be the fuel efficient.
Buddha Air is one of the successful domestic airlines in Nepal conducting its regular flight with ATR 72-500, ATR 42-320 and Beech craft 1900 D.
