Buddha Air has officially started its scheduled flight between Biratnagar and Pokhara. The scheduled flights initiated yesterday with its Beechcraft 1900D aircraft with registration ‘9N-AEW’that took off from Pokhara and landed to Biratnagar and then back to Pokhara again. The carrier is now scheduling flight in this sector for three days a week.
The flights would be conducted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week. The flight from Pokhara will take off at 11:45 AM and the returning flight from Biratnagar will take off at 1:20 PM. The Beechcraft aircraft now flying for this route takes 1 hour to complete the flight each way. The passengers traveling this sector for the first time yesterday were welcomed by Bikash Lamsal, the Tourism and Environment minister of Gandaki State in Pokhara.
The carrier has fixed a fare of NRs. 6,200 for Nepali and Indian passengers whereas USD 130 for the international passengers flying in this sector. The carrier also plans to fly ATR 42 or ATR 72 according to the future flow of passengers for the sector.
Starts Rajbiraj Flights from February 01
The carrier has also started regular flight service to Rajbiraj Airport from Saturday. It is now conducting a daily flight to Rajbiraj from Kathmandu. With its fleet of ATR and Beechcraft aircraft, it conducts flights to around 12 popular destinations of the country. Rajbiraj is a new addition to its existing destinations. Its fleet comprises of 8 ATR 72-500 aircraft, 3 ATR 42-320 aircraft and 2 Beechcraft 1900D series aircraft.
