Buddha Air has increased its flight frequency in Bhairahawa-Pokhara route. Earlier, the carrier was operating one flight daily but starting from Thursday, the flight is increased to two per day.
Buddha Air commenced daily flight between Bhairahawa-Pokhara from Bhadra 30 with the purpose of connecting Buddha’s birthplace Lumbini to Pokhara, a major tourist destination. Due to increase in demand from the air passengers, the company decided to add the flight.
Buddha Air has also been conducting two flights daily in Chitwan-Pokhara. It started flights from Bhadra 30 in both Bhairahawa-Pokhara and Chitwan-Pokhara route with its 18-seater Beechcraft 1900D aircraft.
According to the officials, after domestic and international passengers increased to visit Pokhara, Muktinath, Bhairahwa, Lumbini, the flight is being added. Muktinath temple and Lumbini is attracting moretourists especially Indians. The flight is also increased in demand of local people of Pokhara and Bhairahawa.
Due to the difficulty and complexity of the highways, reaching Pokhara to Narayangarh and from Palpa to Pokhara , the airway has made people easy to travel due to which the air passengers have been increasing.
According to Buddha Air, the air ticket for domestic passengers is Nrs.4, 300 whereas for tourist is $98 which is Nrs. 9,800 for Bhairahawa- Pokhara route.
